Osaka Business Frontier Senior High School

Profile

In April 2012, Osaka Business Frontier High School was established as a "new type of high school," distinct from traditional commercial high schools. The opening ceremony took place on May 12 of the same year, which has since become our school's founding anniversary.
Our institution aims to nurture highly specialized individuals who will thrive in a global society filled with entrepreneurial spirit. By facilitating learning and research over a seven-year "high school-university connection" that transcends conventional high school-university collaborations, we enable students to advance to faculties of social sciences and language studies at partner universities such as Osaka City University (now Osaka Metropolitan University), Kansai University, and Kansai Gaidai University . The number of affiliated universities has since increased to include Kyoto Sangyo University and Momoyama Gakuin University (St.Andrew’s University), culminating in our current special admission system. Approximately 60 students can enroll in partner universities by achieving specific grades or licenses and participating in our collaborative programs.
One of the key features of our Global Business Course, where students learn both English and business, is the ample opportunity to engage in "real business" scenarios through partnerships with universities and companies, as well as the chance to learn practical English. We have two sister schools in Australia, offering students the opportunity for overseas training and exchange programs that help them understand and respect cultures different from their own.
The Global Business Department emphasizes the development of three essential skills required in society: "communication skills," "ICT utilization," and specialized expertise in business (which we define as "business including accounting"). Students gain this knowledge through a continuous learning experience during the first three years at our school and the subsequent four years at partner universities.
Since our establishment, over 20 graduates have successfully become certified public accountants and tax accountants, showcasing the high level of specialization in our programs. We are also actively pursuing digital transformation (DX), utilizing the best available ICT resources in the region to enhance our learning activities.
With more than 30 sports and cultural clubs, students are dedicated to achieving their goals every day. Established through the reorganization and development of three historically significant commercial high schools, our institution will continue to explore new possibilities without fear, embrace challenges, and adapt to the evolving landscape of education in the modern era.

Message

Thank you for visiting the Osaka Business Frontier Senior High School website. At our school, we are committed to nurturing highly skilled business professionals who will lead the development of new industries in Osaka, have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and contribute to the global business community.
Established in 2012, our school offers a unique educational program that bridges the gap between high school and university, with strong cooperation from both universities and industry partners. Our Global Business Department is the first in Japan to combine the study of both "English" and "Business." Through this program, students can take university-level courses while still in high school, and have opportunities for special admissions to partner universities.
Our modern, seven-story school building is equipped with Wi-Fi, a multipurpose hall with seating for 320 people, seven computer labs, approximately 500 computers for hands-on training, and 100 tablets for collaborative learning.
We also offer a variety of unique learning opportunities in partnership with businesses. These include projects where students plan and sell products with cafés in shopping malls, as well as career development programs at theme parks. Additionally, we have two sister schools in Australia, where students can participate in homestay exchanges.
We warmly invite junior high school students and their families to visit and experience our school in person. Our school’s volunteer group, "OBF Hirometai," will be happy to guide you on a tour.
Finally, we extend our sincere gratitude to parents, alumni, and all supporters of our school’s educational mission. We look forward to your continued cooperation and support.
